Jesus shares another parable, one of His last.
This one describes the utter depravity of man. The very “spiritual leaders” who were to have shared the truth of God, His Creation, His plan for mankind, His love, mercy, and grace? How had they (their ancestors over the centuries) treated the prophets? How were they about to treat Christ, the “son,” the “heir?”
Now… How do WE treat Him, who gave so much?
To paraphrase a great truth: We owed a debt we could not pay. For us, He paid a debt He did not owe.
